About the client:
When owner Melanie came to me back in 2018, she had an idea and a location – and that was it. However, I was picking up what she was putting down and I was ready to help her open up the store of her dreams. I came up with a name, registered with Google, and built a website. I reached out to my network and employed a graphic designer to create a brand identity and a professional photographer for website and media photos. Business cards were created, social media handles were established, and a vision was finalized—a curated collection of modern and vintage home decor to inspire. Doors opened in September and I’ve been lucky enough to witness the growth and success of Curated Home Decor ever since.
As a mother of three, Melanie gave me autonomy to run with Marketing so she could focus on balancing the store and life. Together, we weathered the ups and downs of a retail business that depends mainly on foot traffic for sales. Through consistent content, an engaged following on social media, relationships with vendors and artisans, and a desire to support one another through collaborative events, I’m proud to continue working with Curated Home Decor as the store celebrates its first anniversary.
